Various Activities to Save the Sura Tidal Flat
30년 넘게 진행된 새만금 개발사업에도 원형의 모습을 간직한 채 멸종위기 생명들의 삶터가 되어주고 있는 수라갯벌이 새만금 신공항 예정지가 되자, 여러 시민단체들은 연대해 수라 갯벌 지키기 운동을 펼치고 있습니다.
Even after more than 30 years of the Saemangeum development project, the Sura tidal flat has retained its original form and continues to serve as a habitat for endangered species. When it was designated as the planned site for the Saemangeum New Airport, various civic organizations launched a movement to protect the Sura tidal flat.
새만금시민생태조사단 Saemangeum Citizen Ecological Investigation Group
2003년 시민들의 자발적인 움직임으로 꾸려진 모임.
시민, 활동가, 전문가가 함께하는 공동조사단으로 20여 년째 매달 첫쨋 주 일요일 정기조사를 계속하고 있습니다. 물새와 저서생물, 문화 팀으로 나누어 생태계 및 주민 삶의 변화상을 조사합니다. 새만금시민생태조사단은 누구나 함께할 수 있는 열린 모임입니다.
